1. I DO NOT want anyone taking this content and creating a hate filled or negative presentation. I am so excited to see what you all come up with and most concepts are welcome, but it has to stay positive in message. The primary purpose for Chords of Truth is to help empower everyone to challenge their perception of the world and create a positive experience for themselves and everyone around them. And we all know that's what the world needs.
So please keep it POSITIVE IN MESSAGE!
2. Include the name of the song and "Chords of Truth" in the title along with your name when posting your video. That way we can all keep things organized and both increase our exposure through this project.
3. Entries must be added to the "Chords of Truth Video Contest 2012" group on Vimeo.com by 11:59 Eastern Standard Time on August 26th 2012. Submission of videos is subject to Vimeo’s terms and conditions so please ensure you observe these. You may enter more than one video, but please only submit "finished" videos. Collaboration is allowed, but artists involved with this practice will need to discuss among themselves how to split the prizes.
4. Entrants must warrant that their entries are original work and do not infringe intellectual property and privacy of a third party. Any submissions identified using a sample that is ‘uncleared’ will be disqualified. The definition of an ‘uncleared’ sample is a loop, sample or musical work for which you do not own the copyright (ie: you didn’t create it). You are free to use sounds/videos that were created by you and/or royalty free loops and video that is in the public domain. The submitting party bears all responsibility for their use of any ‘uncleared’ content.
6. Song stems and video footage are provided under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommerical licensing.
By entering the competition each entrant agrees to sign their video to Chords of Truth for release as part of this project. Each entrant assigns to Chords of Truth an exclusive, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, publish, distribute and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your entry worldwide. Prior to any release, the winners will be requested to sign an agreement with video production credit going to you.
7. By entering the Contest, entrants agree that the organizers may receive other entries that are similar or identical in theme, format or other respects to that submitted by entrant. Entrants expressly waive any and all claims that they may have against the competition organizers based on any claim that any entry entered into the Contest is similar or identical to their entry. In the event that more than one entry with similar or identical elements is brought to the organizer’s attention, the first such entry received will be accepted. Entrants further agree that Chords of Truth shall not have any liability to entrants for any direct, indirect, contributory, vicarious, secondary or other infringement or protection of any copyright in or to entrant’s entry.
8. All trademarks and logos are protected. All rights of the owner of the recorded work are reserved. Unauthorized copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting of the videos or resulting records or remixes is prohibited.
9. All entrants to the competition will be deemed to have accepted the rules and terms and conditions.
Upon request entrants will supply a hi-resolution master video file.
None of the organizers or sponsors of this event, including but not limited to Chords of Truth, shall accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, liability, injury or upset caused to or suffered by you as a result of entering the competition or winning any prize. They further accept no liability for any damage caused to any person’s computer or other electronic device relating to or resulting from downloading any materials, including so called computer viruses, in connection with this competition.
10. These terms are governed by US law and subject to the jurisdiction of US Courts. If any provision of these terms is invalid under the law of a particular country, it will only apply to the extent permitted. |
